16 December 2025 – Association of Australian Indian Muslims Condemns Bondi Beach Mass Shooting

The Association of Australian Indian Muslims (AAIM) extends its heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of those who tragically lost their lives in the devastating mass shooting at Bondi Beach, Sydney.

As investigations continue and further details emerge, we remain deeply shocked and grieved by this senseless act of violence and its profound impact on innocent lives. Our prayers are with the victims, the injured, and all those affected by this tragedy.

AAIM stands in solidarity with all Australians in unequivocally condemning this horrific act of terrorism.

In Islam, the sanctity of life is sacred. The Qur’an reminds us: “Whoever takes an innocent life, it is as if they have killed all of humanity; and whoever saves a life, it is as if they have saved all of humanity” (Qur’an 5:32). We also honour the courage of Ahmed Al-Ahmed, whose brave actions helped prevent further bloodshed by disarming one of the attackers.

Muslims are an integral part of Australia’s diverse social fabric and remain committed to safety, justice, and peaceful coexistence. AAIM calls for unity, compassion, and resilience during this difficult time, urging all communities to come together to reduce harm, support one another, and uphold the shared values that bind us as Australians.
